Business Prime
Business Prime for Sole Proprietors and Freelancers
A one person business is the smallest buyer there is, and the honest answer is that the delivery benefits are probably not the reason to upgrade. Those overlap with a household plan. What a business plan adds for a solo operator is an account that behaves like a business one.

What you are actually buying
The part nobody says out loud. A solo business is not a small company. It is one buyer, which is exactly what a household plan already covers.
- Separation, so supply runs do not sit in the same history as groceries.
- Invoices, which are worth something at the end of a tax year.
- Business pricing on some items, where Amazon Business offers it.
- Reporting, on the tiers that include it.
None of those is shipping. All of them are paperwork. So decide the way you would decide on any accounting tool: does it save you time you currently spend, or not.
When a household plan is enough
If your business buying is small, occasional, and you already unpack it from a bank statement, a household plan covers the delivery side and the rest is overhead. That is a legitimate answer, and it is the one most solos should land on.
The upgrade earns its keep when the paperwork starts costing you time. Invoices you have to chase and receipts you have to hunt are the signal. Until then, the household calculation is the only math that matters.
If you do upgrade
Start at the smallest tier that fits one user, and only move up when a real second buying user appears. Tier names and prices change, so read them at the source rather than from a summary, and check whether personal benefits travel with the plan you are picking.
Buy the tier you need this quarter, not the tier you imagine needing in a year. Business plans are easy to grow into and pointless to grow into early.
Buy it if you need invoices, separated purchasing, or business pricing for real volume.
Skip it if you are buying it for delivery you already have. A business plan bought for household benefits is a household plan with a second invoice.
Read the whole comparison in the Business Prime guide, and judge the household plan at is Prime worth it.
