When the second subscription makes sense
- Video only: the included section covers it, and the subscription adds cost without value.
- Reading and games too: the broader service covers things the included section does not.
- Hardware involved: some devices bundle kids content, so check what you already have before buying again.
Overlap is the trap. Two services covering the same screen is not extra safety. It is a duplicate charge wearing two names.
Picking between them
Ask what the child actually uses. If it is the tablet and the shows, the included section is probably already enough. If they read on it, or play the games the service offers, the broader subscription starts earning its place.
