Three anchors. A large summer event, the fall window the site follows in Prime Big Deal Days, and the year end run through the holiday season. The seasons are the stable part. Within them, Amazon decides.
Knowing the three anchors is enough to plan. You know roughly when to have a membership ready, and you know when to look for an announcement.
Why the dates move
An event is a business decision, not a holiday. Amazon shifts dates to fit the calendar and the market, which is why a window from one year is a poor guide to the next. A date from an article is a date that was true once. The announcement is the only schedule worth trusting.
That is also why this page refuses to print one. A fixed list would be comfortable and wrong, and comfortable and wrong is the worst combination for a reader planning a purchase.
How to keep track

Worth naming plainly. The person who reads the announcement is ready. The person who reads a blogger’s prediction is guessing. Same event, different preparation.
Buy it if you plan purchases around the seasonal windows and want to be ready before they open.
Skip it if you buy when you need to. A calendar is only useful if you actually wait for it.
