Why there is no list to read
Worth naming plainly. A tier that is not offered to your cart is not part of your membership in any sense you can actually use.
Coverage is drawn by Amazon around its own logistics, and it is not published as a simple set of covered cities. It also moves, product by product and month by month, as warehouses and routes change.
So a city list would be wrong the week after it was written, which is why the reliable check is your own cart rather than any page, including this one.
The check that works
- Sign in so the cart knows your addresses.
- Set the delivery address to the one you actually care about.
- Open the item and look at the promised date, not the badge.
- Repeat on checkout, because the date can firm up there.
If the item shows a same day option for your address, you have your answer. If it does not, the item either sits outside the footprint or arrived after the order cutoff for today.
What changes the answer between two items
The warehouse matters, and so does the item size. A small item held nearby can be same day while a large one two aisles away is two day, on the same afternoon, to the same address.
This is why "does Prime do same day" has no honest single answer. The tier is a capability, and the checkout is where the capability either applies to your basket or does not.
Buy it if your address shows same day or overnight on the things you actually order.
