One app, three business models. Some titles are included with the membership. Some are rentals you pay for one at a time. Some arrive through channels, which are subscriptions living inside the app. Knowing which one you are looking at is the entire skill.

Worth naming plainly. The three models share one interface, and that is the trick. Read the button before you press it.

- Rentals show a price and a rental window before you confirm.
- Channels show as a subscription with its own monthly terms and trial.
The trap is not the pricing. It is the sameness of the interface. All three appear in the same shelves, so the only way to be sure is to read the button before you press it.
Where the value sits

Rentals are the honest model and channels are the sticky one. A rental ends. A channel renews, and the second month is the one people forget they are paying for.
Keeping the bill honest
The included catalog is the value inside the membership. Rentals and channels are separate purchasing decisions, and each deserves the same question you would ask of any subscription. Would I pay for this on its own, repeatedly, without the app nudging me.
If the answer is no, the rental is the right shape for you and the channel is not. Channels survive on the gap between wanting a thing and remembering to cancel it.
Buy it if the included catalog covers what you watch, with the odd rental on top.
Skip it if you are stacking channels out of habit. Every channel that renews is a subscription, whether or not you remember agreeing to it.
