Can You Transfer Amazon Prime to Another Account?

What transferring really means
At its simplest, a transfer would move the membership from one account to another. In practice, what most people actually want is one of two other things: a membership for someone else, or shared use at home. Naming the real goal is the first step.
If the goal is a membership for another person, a gift does it cleanly. If the goal is one plan covering two people at one address, the answer is Amazon Household. A literal transfer is the rarest of the three.
Why accounts are separate
Order history, payment methods, recommendations, and subscriptions all hang off an account. Moving a membership without moving that context is not something a retailer does casually. So the limits on transfers are as much about the account as about the plan.
The useful move is to stop trying to relocate a membership and instead pick the mechanism that delivers the outcome. A gift for a person, a Household for a home, and a new plan for a fresh start.
The realistic routes
- Give a membership. Buy a gift for the other person.
- Share at home. Add them to a Household so one plan covers the address.
- Start fresh. Let the old membership end and begin a new one on the other account. The sign-up steps cover how.
