Do You Keep Sports After the Membership Ends?
No. Live sports access is part of the Prime membership, so it ends when the membership ends, on the same date everything else does. There is no separate sports clock sitting outside the plan. That sounds obvious and still tripped up a lot of people who cancelled a trial in the middle of a season.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Commissions never change a TuesdayScore™. How this site is funded.
The entitlement rides the membership
Every live event Amazon carries sits inside Prime Video, which sits inside the membership. End one and you end the other. There is no sports-only carryover and no grace period unless Amazon says so for your account.
So if you joined through a trial and a game lands after the trial ends, the game is gone unless the membership is still active on that date. The free trial mechanics cover where those dates are shown.
The only date that matters is the one Amazon shows you
After you cancel, Amazon displays the date the benefits stop. That number is the answer, and it is the one to write down. A season spans months, so a trial that looked long can still finish before the game you were counting on.
The habit that prevents the surprise is the same one this site repeats for shipping: read your own account, and set your own reminder. Amazon’s settings are not your calendar.
What happens to replays
Whether a finished game stays available to stream, and for how long, is set by Amazon event by event rather than promised across the board. Some events linger. Some do not. A replay is a bonus, not a backup plan.
So do not build a season of viewing on the assumption that anything you miss will still be there. Watch what is live while the membership is live, and read the event page if a replay is the only way you can catch it.
Buy it if the games you want fall inside the membership period you are planning, with the end date checked first.
Skip it if you were counting on sports to outlast the plan. The membership is the clock, and it does not pause for a game.
Read the whole picture in the Prime Video live sports guide, and see how streaming is scored in the digital benefits guide.
Membership terms, benefit end dates, and replay availability are set by Amazon and described from Amazon’s published pages, checked 2026-09-26. Your own end date is shown on your account.
