What it gets you
If Amazon is carrying the game, it is available inside the same Prime Video app you already use, on the same login, with no extra charge beyond the membership. There is no separate pass to buy and no cable package to keep alive for it.
That is the substitution. A Thursday night game you were paying a sports tier to watch is a bill the membership can retire, which is exactly the kind of saving that the worth it calculation counts and a feature list does not.
What it does not cover
It is not every NFL game. Amazon carries a specific slate, and the rest of the season lives on other networks and other services. Included means Amazon’s games, not the whole league.
So the honest test is narrow: does the membership cover the games you would otherwise pay to see. If it covers them, the case is strong. If your team is elsewhere, Thursday night football is a bonus rather than a reason, and the case falls back to delivery.
How to watch, and who else can
