Report it through your account, where the order lives and where Amazon handles the case. What they offer is set by Amazon and stated case by case, so read the response rather than assuming an outcome. The account, not a call from a stranger, is where this gets sorted.
Then close the window for next time. If a theft happened on a porch, the next order on the same route is the one to route to a locker or a Key destination.
Buy it if you order often and your doorstep is exposed, so a destination change genuinely helps.
Skip it if your parcels are already secure. The best anti theft measure is an address that never shows the box.
