On one side, streaming is a core part of the bundle, with its own tiers and an upgrade path. On the other, streaming is not the organizing idea of the membership at all.

Weighing it properly
- If you would drop a subscription: the streaming half of Prime has real monthly value.
- If you only watch occasionally: count it as a small bonus rather than an argument.
- If you watch mostly live content: check what the included tier covers, because ads and live rules differ.
A benefit earns its keep by replacing something. Treat streaming as a deduction from a bill you already have, not as a feature that adds value by existing.
What this does to the decision
If you stream a lot and would otherwise pay for a service, the Prime side of this comparison gains real weight. If you stream little, the comparison collapses back to groceries and delivery, where the two memberships are much closer.
